About Church
Mansfield Christian Community Centre is a multicultural church fellowship with lively worship and activities for all ages (see ministries). The church is part of the Pentecostal organisation "Church of God of Prophecy (see www.cogop.org ) with a membership of approximately 1 million worldwide. We accept the Bible as the inspired Word of God and the basis for all our teachings beliefs. Consequently we believe in Jesus Christ as the Incarnate Son of God who died and rose again for the Salvation of mankind. Thus the church's central message is that God wants to reconcile every man and woman to Himself through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
God has a purpose for every man and woman, boy and girl, and we therefore see it as our responsibility to help each individual to discover God's call for them and to provide the spiritual nurture that will enable them to fulfil that divine purpose. In our Sunday school and various midweek activities children's/youth ministries, children and young people learn about God and about the principles of Christian living. Adults receive teaching in regular midweek Bible studies as well as Sunday morning services. We also provide a range of training opportunities for those who feel the call of God to lead others training.
Music plays an important role in our church, as we worship God in our Sunday services. We also regularly conduct Gospel concerts and other events to celebrate with the wider community (see events).
As followers of Jesus, we believe that all who share our faith in Him are part of His body. We therefore work in partnership with other churches in our local community and support various Christian organisations in the UK and abroad.
